Locum Physician Medical Oncology Greenville, SC Support adult and geriatric patients in a free-standing cancer center with a balanced clinic and inpatient coverage schedule. This locum assignment offers weekday clinic hours, periodic weekend call, competitive pay packages, and a start date of 11/02/2026. Quick Facts Location: Greenville, South Carolina Start Date: 11/02/2026 End Date/Duration: 01/29/2027 Shift: Clinic coverage, 8:30 AM 4:30 PM; weekend call from Friday at 4:30 PM through Monday at 8:00 AM, approximately every fifth or sixth weekend Hours/Week: Not specified Employment Type: Locum License/Certs: Not specified Experience: Not specified Pay & Benefits Pay package discussed upon application Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits for W-2 assignments Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated team support throughout the assignment Paid sick time in accordance with applicable state, federal, and local laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You ll Do Provide medical oncology and benign hematology care in outpatient and inpatient settings Evaluate and manage adult and geriatric patients Participate in weekend call coverage Participate in tumor board activities Manage bone marrow transplant-related care Coordinate blood bank needs and order diagnostic tests and imaging Prescribe medications and collaborate with the oncology care team What You Need Required Physician qualified to provide medical oncology and hematology care Willingness to participate in inpatient coverage Availability for the stated clinic schedule and weekend call rotation Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients Preferred Experience with outpatient and inpatient oncology care Experience managing bone marrow transplant-related care Familiarity with EPIC documentation About the Assignment Join a medical oncology team at a leading facility in Greenville, South Carolina. The practice is based in a free-standing cancer center and includes outpatient and inpatient oncology services, with an average of approximately 25 outpatient patients per day and 20 hospital patients per day during call or rounding coverage. Outpatient and hospital services are separate, so providers do not cover both settings on the same day.
