Gastroenterology Physician Potsdam, NY Provide gastroenterology care at a leading facility in Potsdam, New York, with an assignment beginning 12/07/2026 and continuing through 06/07/2027. This opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay rate, 24-hour call coverage, and the chance to support acutely ill adult patients in a collaborative procedural setting. Quick Facts Location: Potsdam, New York Start Date: 12/07/2026 End Date/Duration: 06/07/2027; approximately 6 months Shift: Night; 7x24-hour designation, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM; 24-hour call coverage Hours/Week: Not specified Employment Type: Not specified License/Certifications: New York State medical license; AHA BLS and ACLS; board certification Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the last 2 years Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $4,075.50 Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits for W-2 employees Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated support throughout the assignment Paid sick time in accordance with applicable state, federal, and local laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You ll Do Evaluate adult patients with digestive system conditions and gastrointestinal symptoms. Perform patient consultations, assessments, and follow-up care. Perform upper and lower endoscopic procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy. Perform PEG tube placement and esophageal dilation. Develop and manage treatment plans for gastrointestinal conditions. Document patient care and procedures in the EPIC electronic medical record. Provide 24-hour call coverage, including in-person consultations and procedures as needed. What You Need Required New York State medical license in hand Board certification AHA BLS and ACLS certification Minimum of 2 years of recent gastroenterology experience within the last 2 years Experience with PEG tube placement and esophageal dilation Upper and lower scope experience EPIC experience Availability for full coverage across Monday through Sunday, with full weeks or consecutive dates preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Availability for full weeks or as many consecutive shifts as possible About the Assignment Join a collaborative gastroenterology team at a leading facility in Potsdam, New York. The unit supports acutely ill adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions and includes physician, nurse practitioner, licensed practical nurse, and anesthesia support for procedures.
