Pediatric - Cardiology Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified Pediatric Cardiologist for a locum opportunity in New Jersey. This assignment offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities while working alongside an established pediatric cardiology team.

Assignment Details

• September 2026 March 2027
• 40 hours per week
• Inpatient and outpatient coverage
• Ongoing call responsibilities

Schedule

Alternating weekly schedule:

• Week 1: Inpatient coverage (8:00 AM 4:00 PM) with call
• Week 2: Outpatient clinic (8:00 AM 4:00 PM)

Practice Setting

• Pediatric Cardiology
• Inpatient and outpatient care
• Epic EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

• Pediatric cardiology consultations
• Outpatient clinic evaluations and follow-up
• Inpatient pediatric cardiology management
• Shared call coverage
• Perform echocardiograms when needed if a sonographer is unavailable

Patient Volume

• Approximately outpatient patients per day
• Inpatient census varies based on service needs

Team Structure

• Two Pediatric Cardiology attending physicians
• Multidisciplinary cardiology team
• APP support available
• Collaborative practice environment

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology
• Active state license required
• Comfortable with inpatient, outpatient, and call responsibilities
• Epic experience preferred

Credentialing

• Temporary privileges available for qualified candidates
