We are seeking a Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a full-time locum opportunity in Providence, Rhode Island. This assignment offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, limited inpatient rounding, and shared call with temporary privileges available for qualified providers.

Assignment Details
  • Start: End of September 2026
  • Full-time coverage
  • One position available
Schedule
  • Monday Friday
  • Clinic: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
  • Night Call: 5:00 PM 8:00 AM
  • One to two 24-hour weekend call shifts per month (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)
  • Three gratis hours
Practice Setting
  • Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Clinic
  • Hospital-based inpatient consult service
  • Documentation: 80% Paper / 20% Meditech
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Outpatient Hematology/Oncology care
  • Approximately clinic patients per day
  • Daily inpatient rounding (typically 1 2 hours based on consult volume)
  • Perform biopsies as needed
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary practice
Requirements
  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
  • Rhode Island medical license, DEA, and CSR required (facility will wait for licensure)
  • Board certification verification required
  • Rhode Island license verification required if currently licensed
Credentialing
  • Temporary privileges available for an earlier start
  • Client covers credentialing and application fees
Travel
  • Airfare provided
  • Lodging provided
  • Rental car provided
