Join Open Arms Care and help children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live more independent, fulfilling lives. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll build meaningful relationships, support daily activities, and make a positive impact every single day.
What You'll Do- Provide hands-on support with personal care, meals, mobility, and daily living activities.
- Teach and encourage independence and life skills.
- Coach, mentor, and advocate for the individuals we support.
- Create a safe, positive, and welcoming home environment.
- Transport individuals to appointments, community activities, and outings.
- Document progress and work closely with a supportive team.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to lift and assist with mobility needs up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to complete CPR certification within 30 days and PCM certification within 60 days (training provided)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
