Job Description
Join a busy outpatient GI clinic providing anesthesia services for adult endoscopic procedures. You'll work collaboratively with an anesthesiologist, delivering pre procedure evaluation, intra procedural sedation, airway management, and post procedure monitoring. The schedule consists of four 10 hour day shifts with the option to adjust to 8 hour days, and there is no call requirement.

• Schedule: Four 10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (flexible to 8 hour shifts)
• Patient Population: Adults (14+)
• Location: Winston Salem, NC
• Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non local candidates

• Perform pre procedure assessments and obtain informed consent for endoscopic cases.
• Provide monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, G tube placement, and related procedures.
• Deliver sedation, airway management, and patient comfort throughout the procedure.
• Monitor vital signs and manage any intra procedural complications.
• Conduct post procedure recovery and ensure safe discharge criteria are met.
• Document all care accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with the supervising anesthesiologist and multidisciplinary team members.

• Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) licensure.
• Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum two years of anesthesia experience, preferably with endoscopic or MAC cases.
• Proficiency in EPIC or a comparable EMR system.
• Ability to work within a collaborative medical oversight model.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Four ten hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
• Option to convert to eight hour shifts if preferred.
• No on call responsibilities.

• Thorough patient assessment and risk stratification.
• Expertise in sedation pharmacology and airway management.
• Real time monitoring of hemodynamics and respiratory status.
• Prompt recognition and treatment of anesthesia related emergencies.
• Accurate EMR documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Effective collaboration with physicians, APPs, nurses, and support staff.
